Agreement
By using PulseGrid on the web or in the PulseGrid Connect app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The operator of PulseGrid is identified on your contract or invoice.
The service
PulseGrid provides live heart-rate displays for group fitness. Class members join with a group code and appear on a shared board under a display name. Gym operators use a paid trainer console to run classes, save sessions, and send reports.
Not medical advice
PulseGrid is a fitness tool, not a medical device. Heart-rate data is for training and motivation only. Do not use it to diagnose or treat any condition. Stop exercising if you feel unwell and follow your trainer’s guidance.
Class members
- Free to join: members do not pay PulseGrid to take part in a class.
- Display names: choose an alter ego for the board. Do not use names intended to harass, impersonate, or offend others.
- Your device: keep your phone secure. Session tokens on your device link to your class history for that gym.
- Quick rejoin: if you opt in by joining a class, PulseGrid may store your board name, stats, and session token on this browser for up to one year (and a small essential cookie flag) so you can rejoin faster. Clear this any time via Start fresh on the join page or your browser settings. See our privacy & cookies notice.
- Heart-rate data: only share data you are comfortable showing to your class and gym operator.
Gym operators and trainers
- Subscription: paid plans are billed as described at checkout. Trials and renewals follow the plan you select.
- Your members: you are responsible for how you run classes and for complying with data protection law when using member data.
- Acceptable use: do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or overload our systems.
PulseGrid Connect (Android app)
- Purpose: the app streams heart rate to your gym’s PulseGrid board during a live class you choose to join.
- Permissions: you control Health Connect, Bluetooth, and notification permissions in Android Settings.
- Stay in class: keep the app open during class for reliable streaming. Background behaviour follows Android rules described in our privacy notice.
- Updates: we may update the app through the Play Store. Continued use after an update means you accept the current terms.
Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change features, prices, or these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PulseGrid is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or injury arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or zero for free member use.
Law and contact
