Connection stability during class
Android & iPhone · All trackers
Heart rate drops are usually caused by Bluetooth and mobile OS limits, not PulseGrid alone. If any link pauses, BPM stops until the phone link returns.
Watch / personal tracker or chest strap → phone (Bluetooth) → HypeRate / Pulsoid / browser → PulseGrid join page → class board. On Link, pick Watch / tracker (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Wear OS, and similar personal trackers via HypeRate) or Chest strap. Fitbit users: choose Watch / tracker, connect Fitbit in HypeRate, then paste the HypeRate code on PulseGrid.
What PulseGrid does
- Auto-reconnect on HypeRate, Pulsoid, and browser Bluetooth.
- Foreground resume when the join tab returns to the screen.
- Offline on board — members stay visible with last heart rate.
- Session sync — board socket reconnects; join page buffers briefly.
- One-tap rejoin — returning members tap Join as [name] on the same phone.
Tell your members
- 1Keep the join page open in the foreground.
- 2Stay in Bluetooth range of the phone.
- 3Keep HypeRate or Pulsoid broadcasting.
- 4Use Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone).
- 5Add PulseGrid to the home screen for a quick return.
What coaches should say
- Connect before the warm-up.
- Phone in pocket or armband, not across the room.
- If BPM pauses, check the join page is still open.
- Brief Offline on the board is normal; BPM should return in range.
